the NASA Glenn Learning Technologies Project
This is a NASA-created instructional module on the topic of light, color, and the electromagnetic spectrum. The three-part module was developed for use in grades 4-8. It introduces users to the basics of light and electromagnetic energy through experiments and interactive activities. In Lesson 1, students explore color mixing to discover that the primary colors of light are red, green, and blue. Lesson 2 models how objects absorb and reflect colors of light. Lesson 3 introduces the electromagnetic spectrum through a web-based activity.
