This is a NASA-created instructional module for grades 4-8 on the topic of light, color, and the electromagnetic spectrum. It introduces users to the basics of light and electromagnetic energy through experiments and interactive activities. In Lesson 1, students explore color mixing to discover that the primary colors of light are red, green, and blue. Lesson 2 models how objects absorb and reflect colors of light. Lesson 3 introduces the electromagnetic spectrum through a web-based activity that is easily understood by children. Each lesson contains a link to background information for teachers.
