Detail Page

written by Andrew Duffy
This web page is an interactive physics simulation on cyclic processes.  The user can put an engine through four steps, returning  it to its original conditions.  The work done by the engine is graphed after each step, showing the net work done.

This is part of a collection of similar simulation-based student activities.

Please note that this resource requires Java Applet Plug-in.
