Detail Page

written by Paul Falstad
This applet simulates the electric field of charge distributions, and static current distributions. A large variety of charge and current distributions are available, including point charges, dipoles, planes, cylinders, resistors, combinations, and more. The user can also create charge and current distributions by selecting material types and placing them on the display. Equipotential lines may also be shown. The accuracy and equipotential count are adjustable. The user can display a variety of combinations of electric field, magnetic field, current density and potential.  Current can be turned on for resistors.

Please note that this resource requires Java.
