Force and Torque Statics
published by the College Ready Math-Science Partnership
This set of  teacher notes and student activities covers topics in equilibrium, where total force and torque are zero. This material provides teachers with important concepts to be addressed in teaching the applications of force concepts. The activities included range from exploration of force tables, balance problems, and bridge-building activities. Analyses of trusses bring engineering applications into the physics classroom. Discussions of possible learning outcomes and student difficulties are included.

This is part of a collection of similar resources developed by the College-Ready Math-Science Partnership at the University of Arkansas. This activity was originally developed by PASCO and modified by the College Ready MSP.
