Each year, AAPT solicits nominations for Outstanding Teaching Assistant Awards. Any college or university department chair may nominate one Outstanding Teaching Assistant at that institution to be recognized with an AAPT Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award.

The award includes a certificate and a complimentary one-year student membership in AAPT. The award winner also receives electronic access to the American Journal of Physics and The Physics Teacher.

The annual deadline for nominations is June 1.
