OBJECTIVES • Learn the physics principles behind absorption and fluorescence of visible light • Learn the physics principles behind FRET and how the technique is applied to biological questions • Learn the physics principles behind light scattering • Determine the concentration of an unknown solution of dye molecules • Determine the how light scattering depends on wavelength • Determine the kinetic stages of self-assembly of collagen proteins into fibrils
