Creating an Account

Registering with the Compadre Portal collection is easy and quick.

The Steps:

Visit the Compadre Portal at https://www.compadre.org/portal/ and click the register link at the top of the screen.

Required Information:
  1. Completely fill in the text boxes within the Required Information area such as:
    • Country
    • Email Address and Type
    • Password
    • Confirm Password
    • First Name
    • Last Name
  2. Select either Yes or No to receiving email updates from the Astronoy Center.
Additional Information (not required):
  1. Complete the textboxes if desired:
    • Organization
    • Organization Abbreviation
    • Address 1
    • Address 2
    • City
    • State
    • Zip
  2. Type in your Phone Number and select the type from the list:
    Office, Department, Business Cell, Home, Home Office, Personal, TTY, or Other
  3. Type in your Chat Handle (if you have one) and select the chat system for that handle:
    AIM, ICQ, IRC, Jabber, MSN, or Yahoo

When you are ready, click Register.

Once registered, a new screen titled Manage My Account will appear. This screen will allow you to change various account settings and confirms that an account has been created.

You may either complete the information on this page or continue on to using the Compadre Portal collection.

By registering with the Compadre Portal collection, you become a member of the comPADRE network and can use the collections and resources of all comPADRE collections. For more information, please visit comPADRE.org.
