Detail Page

written by Joel Bryant
This activity for high school physics/physical science classrooms allows students to explore the movement of traveling and standing waves by using Slinky coil springs. It consists of a four-page set of questions designed to encourage deductive reasoning about the behavior of waves. Students explore variables that affect wave speed, reflection, and interference.
