This simulation-based teaching module illustrates three different, but related concepts. Terrestrial coordinates and the celestial equatorial coordinate system are covered and are used to explore the motion of the sun and how it relates to seasons. There are interactive maps that display terrestrial and celestial equatorial coordinates. Users can change the point location on the map and view coordinates from different reference points. The third component of this package explores Earth's seasons and the ecliptic as the earth orbits the sun.  

This module is part of a larger collection of simulation-based labs for introductory astronomy.
