Detail Page

written by the University of Minnesota Physics Education Research Group, Kenneth Heller, and Patricia Heller
This page is a set of introductory context-rich physics problems on linear kinematics.  Context-rich problems differ from traditional textbook questions in that physics is introduced in terms of real-world situations, with information given that is both relevant and extraneous.  Strategies for problem solving are not explicitly provided.  Each problem is formulated so it is too difficult for one student to solve alone, yet not too difficult for a group to master.  Included in this index are problems related to both one-dimensional motion and projectile motion.

This resource is based on the research results of the Minnesota Physics Education Research group.  See Related items on this page for a link to the full collection.
