This Washington Post article presents the implications of the U.S. Navy shoot-down of a U.S. spy satellite in February, 2008 for space weapons and their control.  A link is provided to a diagram of the satellite's track for the first two orbits after it was hit.  A chart comparing the altitude of this intercept with the altitude of China's intercept of a satellite early in 2007 is also available.
