Detail Page

written by Fu-Kwun Hwang
This applet simulates a microscopic view of a particle model for a liquid. The user can change the shape of the container and heat a small region. The random motion of the molecules, convection, and density gradients can be observed. A red dot shows the trajectory for one of the particles.

This is part of a large collection of java simulations of physical systems. A discussion board for each simulation is available and registered users may download the program.
