This video demonstrates conservation of angular momentum. When a person on a rotatable platform (initially at rest) tilts the axis of a rotating bicycle wheel, conservation of angular momentum results in spinning of the person and platform.
This is part of a collection of typical lecture demonstration videos put together by the physics department at Wake Forest University.
