Desertec-UK (formerly TREC-UK) provides an overview of how concentrating solar plants (CSP) in North African deserts could provide clean electrical energy for Europe and the UK. The site provides information on how solar energy can be concentrated, converted into heat, and then into electricity. The site includes diagrams that show how this conversion works, images of the concentrating solar plants (CSP), and also links to related news reports.
