written by Jared Ostmeyer and Julio Gea-Banaloche
This web site presents three models for and simulations of quantum spin systems. The models are the Bloch Equations, the Jaynes-Cummings Model,  and the Spin-Boson Hamiltonian. For each model there is a highly interactive Java applet and background information. The Jaynes-Cummings and Spin-Boson models include coupling of the two-level system to a boson (harmonic oscillator) field while the Block Equation models the interaction with a wide range of analytic, classical fields.

This work was done as part of an NSF-sponsored REU project.
