This applet demonstrates the working of a two-lens refracting astronomical telescope. The focal length of the two lenses can be changed by the user. As an example, the image of the six brightest stars of the Pleiades, as viewed with and without the lenses, is simulated.
This applet part of large collection of physics applets by the author and may be accessed in a variety of languages at http://www.walter-fendt.de/ph14e/ Please note that this resource requires at least version 1.4.2 of Java.
