This is an online physics course on electricity and magnetism for elementary and middle school teachers. The course covers circuits, magnetic materials, and magnetic fields. This is one of several courses designed to provide professional development opportunities that address national and state science standards and requirements for  teacher quality. This work has received support by the Department of Education (FIPSE).

As far as i can tell, one has to pay $200 to get access to this material.  I wasn't able even to sample a real activity in-depth to assess the quality of it.

Carol,

Thanks for the post!  The website you refer to can be found by browsing all the materials in the collection for Electricity, but we agree that the up-front expense would disqualify it for inclusion in our Topics and Units.  If a user clicks on "Topics and Units", this resource will not be found there.  Thanks for this feedback.....keep the comments coming!  Together we'll make this the best possible set of online materials for high school physics!
