This is a working paper on the use of Teaching Dimensions Observation Protocol (TDOP) as a tool for studying teaching in post-secondary education.  TDOP was created by the author's research program in response to the lack of structure in post-secondary observation protocols.  The paper details implementation techniques and aims to demonstrate the usefulness of TDOP as a research tool.
