Detail Page

written by the Kansas State Physics Education Research Group and Dean A. Zollman
This resource illustrates the spectrum of hydrogen, from wavelengths of 2500 nm to 50 nm.  An energy-level diagram tool is used to create a spectrum that matches the experimental spectrum.  Energy levels and transitions can be indicated by the user.  A zoom window is also available to observe details of the spectrum.

Hydrogen Spectroscopy II:

Is Referenced By Hydrogen Spectroscopy

Hydrogen Spectrum uses the spectroscopy lab to connect observed spectra to transitions between atomic energy levels.

relation by Bruce Mason
Covers the Same Topic As Gas Spectroscopy

Hydrogen Spectroscopy II adds to Gas Lamp Emission by allowing another energy level and the capability to zoom in on spectra, but only for the hydrogen spectrum.

relation by Bruce Mason
Is Part Of Visual Quantum Mechanics

Visual Quantum Mechanics contains a series of simulations, tutorials, and pedagogy to help in the learning of concepts in quantum physics.  This material is suitable for a wide range of students.
