This teacher's guide and activity provides a hands-on student introduction to DC electric circuits. The goal of this guided activity is for students to construct relationships between energy and charge conservation in these circuits. A series of student predictions, experiments, and model building leads students from simple concepts of current and voltage to an understanding of series and parallel circuits and energy. The teacher's notes include information about student challenges and implementation of the inquiry-based activities.
