This set of teacher's notes describe an exploration of centripetal force. In the activity, students collect data on the relations between force, radius, mass, and speed for a mass traveling in a circle on the end of a string.  Notes on the purpose of the activity, student difficulties addressed, and implementation are included with the teacher's notes.
