This set of instructional activities and teacher notes covers topics of speed, velocity, and acceleration. The notes provide recommendations for implementing the activities. The topics include kinematics, taking measurements, and creating and interpreting graphs. Learning objectives, related standards, and guidance for teachers wishing to run inquiry-based laboratories are included, along with three different example lesson plans with different levels of student inquiry and data analysis. The teacher development notes can be used in either a workshop environment or for teacher self-study and reflection.
This is part of a collection of similar resources developed by the College-Ready Math-Science Partnership at the University of Arkansas.
