![]() Measuring g by Flow Rate
written by
Gregor Steele
The diameter of a water stream decreases as it falls. Since the flow rate is constant, we can measure the diameter at different heights to determine the value of the gravitational acceleration g. In this experiment we capture an image of the stream and analyze it using the Tracker video analysis tool.
