Additional Information: This program is funded in part by the NSF.  Stipends from NSF funds are restricted to U.S. citizens or permanent residents. We welcome applications from international students because other funds are sometimes available. However, we can only accommodate maybe one international student each year. Applicants with their own sources of funding are also welcome to apply. This program provides undergraduates genuine involvement in actual research. Physics-related research projects are available in the Physics and the Applied Science departments. We have collaborations at the nearby laboratories Thomas Jefferson Lab and NASA Langley Research Center. Our faculty are also active in international research collaborations.
