Description: This program provides paid summer research opportunities at selected institutions in Germany (the entire country), Singapore (National Univ. of Singapore), Italy (Univ. of Perugia) and the UK (Univ. of Strathclyde) for 10 weeks from mid May to mid August (by arrangement). Students will receive a $4000 stipend plus travel expenses, an orientation trip to DC, a trip to the ACS national spring meeting, housing reimbursement, international airfare, language training,  and other related costs (a circa $10,000 value). To qualify, students must be majoring in chemical or materials science or a chemistry related field including physical chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering; be US citizens or US permanent residents; and have one semester or summer of prior research experience.

Foreign students from the same 4 countries will have the opportunity to come and participate in programs within the U.S. in a bilateral exchange.
