There are exciting opportunities in a number of areas including optics (using lasers of all kinds including ultra-short pulse and UV lasers), computer modeling, plasmas, solid state and thin film science, acoustics, theory, and astronomy.
We are especially interested in applications from students from minority groups who are underrepresented in physics or who come from schools which don't have graduate research programs.
Participants must must be enrolled at an accredited US college or university and be graduating after December 2013.
At the end of our program some participants may be selected to travel to a regional professional meeting to give a presentation on their research results.
Possible payment of attendance and participation in a regional professional meeting
