Description: The University of Rhode Island's REU program has identified a number of multidisciplinary areas and projects which involve either fundamental graphics research or integrative research in support of a variety of applications including graphical design, transportation, education, and bioinformatics. Each participant will work, individually and cooperatively, on a well-defined research problem chosen from one of the research areas of the REU. Regular meetings with the student's research mentor as well as the others in the research group will help focus and direct the work. Participants will periodically present their background research, prototype development, documentation, and research results and will be encouraged and assisted in publishing the results.
Stipend: $4000 + living allowance
