This is The Nucleus club page for the SPS chapter at UNC Asheville.  The UNC Asheville SPS chapter is very involved in public outreach events as well as research in multiple areas of physics and astronomy.  We are currently engaged in two different outreach programs, one being SuperSaturday, where SPS members volunteer to help teach physics to middle schoolers for 6 Saturdays in a row.  The second outreach event occurs in the spring when we help coordinate with Science Olympiad to be judges as well as help with organization.  Our chapter is very proud of its community outreach programs and encourage other chapters to perform outreach events as well.  The current president is Kayla Redmond, the vice president is Klint Davis, and the secretary/treasurer is Whitney Pruett.
