Sigma Pi Sigma Induction and Key Return Ceremony

This April the Davidson College Society of Physics Students (SPS) and Physics Department will celebrate the induction of new members into Sigma Pi Sigma and the return of key # 26 to Davidson. 

Following the Ceremony, we will all gather at Dr. Christian’s farm and hold the annual physics picnic.

Last April, Sigma Pi Sigma key #26 was found on a farm in Virginia and mailed to the national office of Sigma Pi Sigma. After some detective work, they determined that the 26th key was awarded to Dr. William Mebane in 1923 at Davidson College.  The Davidson College Chapter of Sigma Pi Sigma, the Alpha Chapter, is expanding our Spring Sigma Pi Sigma induction ceremony to include the return of this key to Davidson College and would like as many Physics Alumni to attend.
