Last summer I, Melanie Markman, went to a summer program at Vanderbilt University in TN. The program was called PAVE it was for students interested in law, medicine, or engineering, three of their biggest schools.  The program last six weeks, and you live in a dorm room. It really gets you looking forward to college and allows you to figure out the ways you need to survive at college. There are a lot of intelligent people there.  The professors I came into contact with were amazing people and have made great friends who are very intelligent people. It has been one year later and I am still in close contact with them, it was a great experience that could help others see what they want to do and what is right for them, as well as learn about the college environment and helping create more successful students.  Engineers are given a good base in physics and computer programs that they may come into contact with, and more specific areas of interest such as fluid dynamics or mechanics.

The link that you should follow if you are interested is below, I encourage you to check it out and ask questions so you can apply for next year.
