This interactive web-based homework problem takes introductory physics students through a step-by-step process of how to visualize and calculate vector subtraction.  It is designed as a problem requiring analysis and student response, with immediate feedback for both correct and incorrect responses. Learners do a guided conceptual analysis before attempting the mathematics.

Editor's Note: This problem could be ideal for students who are struggling with vector calculation or who have had little or no background in vector concepts. It is appropriate for both Physics First and algebra-based high school physics courses.
