This item is a primer on the topic of temperature, written by middle school teachers participating in Project Skymath.  It was developed to provide K-8 teachers with a deeper understanding of heat, transfer of heat energy, and the basics of thermodynamics.  It begins with a brief history of thermometers and temperature scales and builds to discussions of Maxwellian Distribution and the Boltzmann constant.
