Veritasium is a YouTube channel of science and engineering videos, created by Derek Muller, physics education researcher and winner of the 2012 Cyberscreen Science Film Festival. The short videos are designed to be entertaining and engaging without sacrificing scientific accuracy or rigor. Topics are presented for large audiences, but also offer opportunities for deeper exploration.
Editor's Note: Derek Muller is a natural entertainer with a flare for the intriguing and extraordinary. His stated goal is to "make science more beautiful" by showing its relevance and comprehensibility. Many of the videos would be excellent warm-up exercises to elicit student knowledge or jump-start a discussion.
