Free ONLINE course for teachers in Newtonian Mechanics from MIT

published by David Pritchard
May 16, 2013

Registration is open for a free online course in Introductory Newtonian Mechanics designed to help physics teachers improve both their conceptual overview and problem-solving skills. Designed by MIT professor David Pritchard and his education research group, RELATE (http://RELATE.MIT.edu/physicscourse), this course will enable participating teachers (and others) to learn a modeling-based approach to problem solving, and to check out our online materials and machine-graded homework for use with their own students. The course runs June 1 → Aug 26, 2013 with the first quiz due June 28. Individuals who complete the course will receive a letter of completion from Pritchard and will be invited to obtain a "CEU Transcript" by AAPT for obtaining Continuing Education Units.
