This item is a teacher's guide to a set of inquiry-based classroom demonstrations and clicker questions on waves. It was designed specifically for use with three PhET simulations: Wave on a String, Sound, and Wave Interference. Students explore the pattern of a reflected wave, patterns from interfering waves, and learn to predict change in frequency resulting from the Doppler effect. The clicker questions are available in Power Point format to allow for editing.
This resource is part of a much larger set of teacher-created materials developed to supplement the PhET collection of interactive physics simulations.
