This web page contains a simulation on electric fields and electric potential in a system with multiple charges. The user can drag the charges to see how the fields and potential lines change, and can double-click to create new equipotential lines. This activity is designed to promote understanding of the relationship between equipotential lines and the direction of the electric field.
This page is part of a larger collection of Java applets with tutorial questions developed for introductory physics courses.
