Position Carpet Package

The Position Carpet package is a self-contained file for the teaching of the time evolution and visualization of energy eigenstates and their superpositions via quantum spacetime diagrams or quantum carpets. The file contains ready-to-run OSP programs and a set of curricular materials. The material focuses on the wave function and the quantum carpet in position space.
The Position Carpet package is an Open Source Physics curricular package written for the teaching of quantum mechanics. It is distributed as a ready-to-run (compiled) Java archive. Double clicking the osp_carpet.jar file will run the package if Java is installed. Other quantum mechanics packages are also available. They can be found by searching ComPADRE for Open Source Physics, OSP, or Quantum Mechanics. Please note that this resource requires at least version 1.5 of Java.
