This web page is an interactive physics problem on free fall motion. The user is given an object with an initial velocity upwards, and asked to find its maximum height and travel time to strike the ground. The accompanying Java simulation illustrates the situation and may be viewed in steps or in continuous play. This item is part of a collection of simulation-based activities developed for students of introductory physics.
