This item is an interactive Java tutorial that simulates the combination of fluorescence microscopy with either phase contrast or differential interference contrast microscopy. Users may opt to view either a rat retina or cat brain, and toggle between views of the various techniques. This item is part of a larger collection of virtual microscopy simulations developed for teachers and learners of introductory optics.
Please note that this resource requires Java.
