Compton Effect

The Compton Effect simulate the elastic collision of a photon (P1) with a particle P2 with mass m2=1. The light-velocity equals to c=1. The evolution of the system of the two particles is depicted with regard to two inertial-Cartesian reference frames: a) the Lab-frame and b) the Center of Mass Reference Frame of P1 and P2.  By using the measuring tools embedded in the virtual environment of the simulation, the user can record the scattering angles Theta1 and Theta2, as well as the energies Ef1 and Ef2 of P1 and P2, with regard to the Lab-frame after the collision.  The objective of the simulation is the user to confirm the predictions of the theoretical model (attached pdf-file) with the calculations he is carrying out in the virtual environment.
