![]() Hydrogenic Wave Function Amplitude JS Model
written by
Wolfgang Christian
This simulation shows the (x,z) projection of an idealized hydrogen atom wave function. It is the solution to the Schrödinger equation for an electron confined by a 1/r2 Coulomb force and it shows the probability amplitude of finding an electron in a particular state defined by three integers
n, l, and m are known as the principal, angular momentum, and angular momentum projection quantum numbers. ![]() ![]() The JavaScript EJS source code for the Hydrogenic Wave Function Amplitude model. download 485kb .zip Last Modified: April 27, 2024 previous versions
