The theme of the 2020 Physics Education Research (PER) Conference was "Insights, Reflections, & Future Directions: Emergent Themes in the Evolving PER Community."

Since its inception, PER has served as a confluence of discipline, theory, research methodology, practice, and application.  PERC 2019 sought to provide opportunities to explore how these facets and the interplays among them have been fruitful for physics education.
