Six circular motion tutorials with curricular materials, Tracker visualizations and Tracker data files produced by the National Space Academy, UK Space Agency, and the European Space Agency. These videos show UK astronaut Tim Peake doing experiments in space demonstrating a ball on a tether and a ball in a circular track undergoing circular motion in various planes and the simple harmonic nature of displacement reduced to a single plane. The site also includes a teacher guide with Earth based demonstrations, such as a cup of water traveling in a circle attached to a tether and a loop the loop track including an analysis of centripetal forces.
The zip files on this site contain the videos and the Tracker experiment (*.trk) file. To open the Tracker experiment file, you must first download and install Tracker from http://physlets.org/tracker/.
