Creating Electronic Books with JavaScript Simulations
written by
Loo Kang Wee
This paper describes the tools, design principles, and modeling pedagogy used to create an electronic book in ePub 3 format using the Easy Java/JavaScript Simulations modeling tool. The theory underpinning this work is based on learning by doing through dynamic and interactive simulation-models. The resulting book contains a Simple Harmonic Motion and Gravity models customized for the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (A-level).
The ePub is available in the Apple iTunes and Google Play book stores and on the author's iwant2study blog: http://iwant2study.org/ospsg/index.php/interactive-resources/physics/02-newtonian-mechanics/08-gravity/153-e-book-on-gravity http://iwant2study.org/ospsg/index.php/interactive-resources/physics/02-newtonian-mechanics/09-oscillations/154-e-book-on-shm Please note that this resource requires Other Browser.
