This is a collection of resources for teaching about magnetic fields in matter, constructed over the course of four semesters of a transformed junior-level Electricity and Magnetism course. Included are homework questions, concept tests, student tutorials, lecture notes, and information about common student difficulties in the topic and ways to address these difficulties.
This material was developed as part of a education research-based course transformation for junior level E&M. All of the resources developed for this course are available for free download from PhysPort. You must be a verified educator to download assessments. ![]() ![]() SEI: Junior E&M Course Materials - Magnetic Fields in Matter download 90kb .pdf Last Modified: January 13, 2025 previous versions ![]() ![]() This archive file contains all the resource materials for the topics of Magnetization of Materials and Magnetic Dipoles. download 2468kb .zip Published: September 24, 2010 Rights: Free for non-commercial use, with attribution. ![]() This archive file contains all the resource materials for the topics of Bound Currents in Materials and Fields in Magnetized Materials. download 4308kb .zip Published: September 24, 2010 Rights: Free for non-commercial use, with attribution. previous versions ![]() This archive file contains all the resource materials for the topics of the Auxiliary (H) Field and Linear Magnetic Media. download 6140kb .zip Published: September 24, 2010 Rights: Free for non-commercial use, with attribution.
