Presentation Title: Moving Online: Computational Modeling and Lab Activities in Introductory Electricity and Magnetism
Abstract: Moving online has upended all of our courses and may continue to impact us in future semesters.  This move requires changes to the computational modeling activities as well as the lab activities in introductory physics. We will discuss how computational modeling activities have been changed to accommodate asynchronous activities in second-semester introductory physics.  In particular, the lack of real-time instructor trouble shooting can make these activities harder. We will also discuss how we use simulations and lab kits for labs in this online class.  This course has been offered online during the summer in the past and was face-to-face during the normal academic year.
