PICUP Greater Chicagoland Workshop Schedule
8:30-9:00 REGISTRATION and COFFEE
9:00-9:15 Welcome, Introductions, and Goals of Workshop
9:15-10:30 Spreadsheet Physics: Falling Sphere (Kelly Roos with frequent interjections by Larry Engelhardt)
Basketball Dropped from Dam in Tasmania
This session is intended to provide a brief demonstration of the usefulness of the ubiquitous spreadsheet tool, and a refresher on the simple Euler algorithm applied to ODEs for velocity and position, while setting the working mood for the workshop. Even seasoned spreadsheet users will benefit from this session.
