2020 Capstone Conference - Travel Information
The PICUP Capstone Conference will begin with a Welcome Dinner and Plenary Presentation at 6 PM on Wednesday, July 15. Please plan to arrive between 1 PM and 5:30 PM to check in. The conference will end with breakfast on Saturday, July 18.
The registration fee covers all meals and accommodations at Calvin University from dinner on Wednesday through breakfast on Saturday. Housing will be provided in the Calvin University dorm rooms for these three nights (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday nights).
A limited number of travel scholarships will be available for conference attendees whose home institution is not able to cover the cost of travel to the conference. You can apply for a travel scholarship here. The priority deadline for these travel scholarships is March 1, and decisions will be made on a rolling basis after March 1 until funds run out.
We encourage you to also attend the AAPT Summer Meeting, which will be held in Grand Rapids immediately following the Capstone Conference. However, note that you will need to register separately for the AAPT meeting and arrange your own accommodations.
If flying, Grand Rapids International Airport (GRR) is a 15 minute (6.5 miles) cab or share ride service away. You may also take public transportation (transfer at Woodland Mall). If driving or renting a car, parking at Calvin University is free during the summer.
