## Problem 17.11: Determine the properties of the standing wave

- What is the speed of waves traveling on this string?
- Assume you are standing at the point x = 2 m. Sketch the height of the wave at this point as a function of time.
- Write an equation for the height of the wave as a function of time at the points x = 0 m and x = 2 m.
- Write down a formula for the wave as a function of both distance and time. That is, write a formula for y(x, t).
